Nip and Tuck Carpet Repair has the perfect natural remedies to help keep your carpet up to shape and smelling great. By doing these few tricks once a week will help to keep your carpet looking beautiful like the day you bought it.

Keeping it Good Looking

We all love our natural cleaners and the less that they have in them the better. Essential oils are the most natural cleaners that have been around for hundreds of years. The beauty with this is that you can take your own essential oils and make your own cleaner with them. A common solution used is:

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 15 drops of lavender essential oil

There are many other solutions out there and with different oils to give you a different smell if you’re not a lavender fan. After you make the solution you’re going to want to put it in a spray bottle. Make sure that with any stain you blot or pick up as much as you can before applying the solution. Remember too, never rub a stain. This unravels that fiber twist in your carpet. After you cleaned up what you can, spray the solution on it and then let it dry. Once you’ve done that, just vacuum it up. It’s as easy as that.

Smelling Good Looking

With the kids and pets there is no telling what has come to be on your carpet. If you’re looking for a way to do a “dry” cleaning to your carpet, then this is the perfect solution for you.

  • 1/2 cup of baking soda
  • 20-40 drops of essential oil

Baking soda is a natural cleaner and odor eliminator. So, this mixture becomes a quick favorite to many moms at home. Once you make this mixture you’re going to want to make sure that it sits for at least 24 hours so that the smell of the oil has fully mixed into the baking soda. Afterwards take a shifter and shatter all over the carpet. After about 10-15 minutes you’re going to vacuum it up. The baking soda pulls dirt and hair up with it, so you really are doing a dry cleaning.
